Hey Guys!
Here’s pics from the listening party release at The Walnut Room in Denver last Monday. It was a huge success – thanks to everyone who came to help us pack the place!

Moving Forward…
The EP is completely mixed and sent off to mastering. I’ve received three tracks back from Brian “Big Bass” Gardner and I was completely blown away…sounds huge! The next three tracks will be finished soon, and we’ll have to wait for my good friend Justin Peacock to get back from surfing in the lovely country of Costa Rica to put the finishing touches on the project before it’s released.
So it’s looking like late July for the release. I know it keeps getting pushed back, but it’ll be worth it…I promise!
Until next time…

Grab the hard drives and head to the basement…
That’s what we should have done, at least, when Justin (of The Hook Factory) and I were interrupted by a tornado touching down not even a mile away from the studio. Needless to say we didn’t get a whole lot of mixing done that day! Luckily the tornado headed north and just bypassed us – but it was a close call. Or at least we thought it was. Kinda crazy…

Hi everyone!
I just got back from Greece – had a fantastic and much needed vacation. The people, the beaches and the food were absolutely amazing – I would highly recommend going there if you haven’t yet!
Well, the record is finished and now the time has come to mix. Justin Peacock from The Hook Factory is putting his legendary skills to use to make the record sound huge! Everything is going smoothly and we’ll be wrapping up here tomorrow to send off to mastering with Brian Gardner
Lewi Gault, the drummer from Saints stopped by to hang out the other day when we were mixing. Was great to have him there and I really appreciated his input!
Couldn’t be happier with how things are sounding and am excited to get this project out to all of you.
Until next time…

There comes a moment on a record…where one must record a glockenspiel.

So the saying goes…or maybe I said that.
If you’re like most of my friends, you might be asking yourself, “What the heck is a glockenspiel”? Leave it to Wikipedia to find out:
A glockenspiel [German Glocken (bells) + spielen (to play)] is a percussion instrument, composed of a set of tuned keys arranged in the fashion of the keyboard of a piano. In this way, it is similar to the xylophone; however, the xylophone’s bars are made of wood, while the glockenspiel’s are metal, thus making it a metallophone. The glockenspiel, moreover, is usually smaller and higher in pitch.
Playing the glockenspiel is a lot more difficult than it looks. Maybe it’s because the keys are too close together. Maybe it’s because the one I was playing was a piece of crap. Or, maybe it’s because I’m a horrible player who is untrained in the intricate craft of glockenspieling (sp?)
Anyway, check out the video. I’m in the process of recording vocals now – we’re getting close!

Hey everyone!
Sorry I haven’t updated the site on the current progress lately…been really busy trying to get this project done! It’s really coming along nicely and can’t wait to share it with everyone.
I had an awesome opportunity to spend a week up in the mountains to really focus on the lyric writing process. It was really inspiring to be up there, and more importantly it was QUIET so I could think. It was overall a really great week, other than the foot and a half of snow that came down on my last day. That’s what you get for living in Colorado!
More to come!

More guitars!
In this highly anticipated episode, I talk about how being sick can be overcome simply by consuming girl scout cookies. I also determine that the secret to my guitar playing is not by hard work through dedication and practice, but rather through a sparkly guitar cable.
